this is for my tube front drift miata, boostlogic is the only one to make a tubular topmount mani for it.

when i called them back in febuary the 1st thing i asked them is what flange is on the manifold, they told me T3 was the standard!! . so i ordered my gt3071r t3 vband housing .63 a/r
i ordered the manifold and they said 6-8 week wait- fine i waited
called at 8 week they said 2 more weeks
called at 2 weeks they said week and a half they because of coating, they were truthful and i got they manifold.

here it is


with a T25 flange!!!!
so i have a huge problem right now, i called boostlogic and told them, they are gonna try and find a exhaust housing that would work, also i called full race where i got the turbo and they said they would also look for a housing. but after looking at the manifold closer im starting to think that this thing is a overpriced pos. not the quality i would expect from a $700+ manifold


sticker glue- why are there stickers on here and why were they removed?? it was just coated

pitting in the flange- so its either real real **** matterial or cast, a cast stainless flange on a 700 dollar manifold is unexepteble

and the collector looks like *** next to my roomates straighline specialties manifold. i realy dont know what to think

should i keep the manifold and exchange the turbo for a 2871r or return the mani keep my turbo and have a custom top mount made thats good quality, im pretty stressed about this

 

your obviously pissed....

return it.

for 700 you can get something else....

 

correction i looked at my invoice and for got i payed 900, i havent looked at the invoice since feb

 

that looks like ****! and they made it wrong! no bueno send it back.

At least they got the wastegate angle good out of the collector. Other than that.......

 

I would send that thing back...if you pay $700 for a manifold, it should reflect the cost. This one would fetch about $400 if lucky

Not sure why you want tubular top mount. You can get a tubular bottom mount with external WG and off the shelf downpipe from Bell engineering though you obviously don't like cookiecutter.

The flipside customs ram horn is nice as hell, i know a guy that is getting his soon, the progress pictures look great.

FullRace made this manifold for a miataturbo.net member, its pretty badass if you ask me.


There is also a new guy making miata manifolds but his are a copy of the BEGI piece so its bottom mount. He's doing them for $500.

I had bought a S5 downpipe from BEGI, paid $460 for it in SS. It was badly sugared and it didn't come close to fitting. So I sent that **** back and now im building my own.

Are you kidding? You mean it doesn't look like a total pile of **** on thier website! Send that back and tell them you want the one they took pictures of and quit mis-representing thier work. The one pictured may have the "krylon touch", but hell, it looks nothing like the piece of crap you took pictures of!

Rob (flipside) is one of my good buddies and a guy a really look upto as far as what he does with his welder, and how he treats his customers. if i wasnt set on doing all my own welding (besides my cage that he did for me last year ) i would have him do all my work.

boostlogic cant build manifolds either can virtual works. go to the supra forums and look at what those guys pay 1600 dollars for...everything looks like pure ****...I would send that back

IF you paid 900 bucks for that thing, and its not what you wanted, plus it looks like ***, then return it, tell them what YOU want, not what they want to give you

 

This is why you research at miataturbo.net and not roadsterdrift or clubroadster.
