Default LS-Vtec Stroker Kit question

So I have decided to go with a Stroker kit for my b18b1. Eagle crank and Rods, SRP Pistons, 11.5:1 Compression. I have been wondering what would be the most agressive cam I could use in this application.

I would like to use the Skunk2 Stage two cams. Any other inputs?

What stroker kit? Whats the final displacement? Stroke length? Bore? What cylinder head? What intake manifold? What header? What exhaust? Is the car a daily? Race only? Weekend warrior? Drag strip? Road Racing? Chocoloate or Vanilla?

no really as stated you'll need to tell us a lot more then what you did for us to help you.

more info is needed that is very vague, but depending on what you do, skunk pro 2's get my vote.

Well...im looking into the 11.5:1 compression pistons, SRP. The eagle H-beam rods, eagle crank. YADAYADA. Typical Stroker kit. But my question was. Would it be safe to run the skunk2 pro 2's in this setup. as in piston to valve clearance.

Are you mentally handicap?

We have all stated we need to know the engine size, What kind of use will the engine see, how long do you want the build to last, etc. etc. Now you say youre asking about p2v clearance when your original post never mentioned that.

yes they should, with the right steps taken, measuring p2v,v2v clearances, and you can also degree in the cams while your there.

I can read just fine, check it out.

THE TERM STROKER KIT IMPLIES THAT THE ENGINE IS NO LONGER ITS ORIGINAL DISPLACEMENT. JUST STICKING IN AN AFTERMARKET CRANK OF IDENTICAL STROKE OR AFTERMARKET PISTONS OF IDENTICAL BORE DOES NOT MAKE IT A STROKER! Get a clue.

as for the guys whos being nice. Ive never degreed my camshafts. The guy I bought the car from had someone degree them already. I suppose before I actually start the car for the first time. I can crank it over by hand and see if the valves hit the pistons as i crank it over.

You do that. And when you realize the point of minimum clearance is in VTEC, and that you need to lock the cams in VTEC for this to even come close to being an acceptable method, you can go ahead and take the car to someone who knows what they are doing.

YOU SAID STROKER. If you want/need help with very technical subjects you need to provide technical info, not just words you have read in Import Tuner.

First of all, you bumped your own post 3 times within a 4 hour period of posting. Thats annoying. Second of all, no one probably responded in those first 4 hours because your post was so vague no one could answer the question. At least if I make you feel like an idiot, you will remember the lesson. If I spoon feed you the answer, you will continue posting like an idiot, which is detrimental to this board.

Sheebus, you just dont get it, do you. So what would an LS/VTEC be with 95mm EAGLE crank? Would it still be an 1.8 liter? A 95x81 will want different cam timing than a 81x89. But since youre obviously right, and I am obviously wrong, I will stop posting in this thread.

How are we suppose to give you any advice if you have not provided us with sufficient information about your build? You claim your motor to have stroker kit, but you cant assume us to know the parameters around your build..is it a 92mm or 95mm crank? what bore? what R/S ratio?

I am pretty sure that it is the 95mm crank. with the 11.5:1 Compression ratio. Bore is stock 81mm. Perameters...daily driver with the ablitily to beat on it whenever as well as a weekend runner.

This like like watching a train smash into your moms car as she's baby sitting your new born son, only this time it's not an insurance scam and you really are sad.
