Default Write Up : Damaged Wheel Repair / Painting (56k c'mon its 2008)

This is my first time doing this so I am just guessing along the way but I wanted everyone to see how it turned out so I took pics along the way. Yes, I do know this has been done countless times on here just thought another write up wouldn't hurt.

The least damaged of my wheels (to see how it turns out) :

The materials I used ($45 dollars worth) :

After sanding the damaged areas with 80 grit :

Sanded again this time with 220 grit, cleaned wheels with acetone, then applied spot putty to badly curbed/chipped areas :

Allowed putty to dry then wet/dry sanded the putty areas with 400 grit and applied first coat of primer :

Turned wheel 180 degrees and gave it a second coat of primer :

I don't know why I started to mask off the tire as I will not be using these tires anyway because they are fvcking done son. Anyway I then wet sanded the primered wheels with 600 grit, cleaned the wheels with dishsoap and water and applied light coat of paint:

Second coat :

With Flash :

Im decided to let the paint cure overnight before I clear it and I am going to wet sand with 2000 grit before I clear it.......I will post the finished product pictures when I get the clear on hopefully tomorrow night.

yeah i figured that because of the little bit of flake in it but the last coat didnt turn out the greatest so add that it between my sanding and clear sand 2000 grit > basecoat < then clear. Ill let you all know how it turns out i dont get off until late tonight

spot putty is for the people don't know bodywork, we only use catalysis body "filler".

even with body filler, there's tons of it, some sticks to metal/plastic better than other.
