Taking car out of storage and it wont start...HELP PLEASE!!!
The car's been sitting in the garage for about 2 years with half a tank of gas in it (2000 Civic Si.) I just bought a new battery, and tried to start it. Iginition is fine, as it's cranking and cranking but it just wont go. I figured that the fuel was bad, so I tried to drain it underneath the car. With the gas gauge showing 1/2 full, not 1 drop came out.
Anyone have any ideas to help me out?
Thanks in advance H-T!!~

So your gas gauge is reading a half tank, but when you drained the tank no fuel came out? Maybe your float is hung up and stuck in the half tank position.
How did you try to drain the tank?
Try disconnecting the fuel inlet hose and having a friend hold it into a gas can or something and turn the key to the ON position and see if fuel flows out.

i would try that and try just unscrewing the drain bolt, my best guess if gas doesn't come out either of these methods then you probably need more gas.
So nothing was coming out of the fuel filter line once I turned the key, as I disconnected it to see if anything would come out. No luck. The car just keeps cranking and cranking, but it wont start.
Any other ideas?

The gas is probably varnished.
- Try Disconnecting the fuel line from the fuel rail and point it into a gas can
- Turn the key to Run and let the fuel pump empty the tank (see if any comes out)
- Pour a half gallon of fresh gas in, with some alcohol added, and let it purge the old gas from the lines
- Reconnect the fuel line and put in some more new gas
Also check the spark plugs and oil.
