my old paint was chipping and my car needed body work so i decided to do the bodywork and paint it satin green...i used rustolem accents satin rattle car from lowe's,i bought 9 cans but i only ended up using 5 to paint the whole car!...it took about 3 hours including prep work to do,all i did was scuff and spray no wet sanding

 

so are the pics the before or after lol.

Way to go, you just ruined your car! Looks like crap Why wouldn't you just spend 300 and take it to Maaco? I used to be a painter there and we did really good work for the 300 paintjobs. The $hitbox's would come out better than the nice cars.

well i like it, it turned out just the way i wanted it to,there arent any tiger stripes or off spots in it,and its only temporary...as for maaco lmfao at them there a f'n joke,i used to do body work and paint for a local shop if i wanted to spend the money on base coat and clear and paint it i would have,bottom line is its a beater car and i just wanted to spray it a different coler rather than being like every other jackass with a flat black or gray primered car with some gay *** color guide coat...but your intitled to your opinion hell half the reason i painted it that color is to hear people say you ruined your car thats ugly blah blah blah

I do paint and body work, When someone wants to cheap out on painting like that, I tell them pay me to prep it and we will tow it to Maaco!

If you prep your car properly the paint from there will turn out good!

 

anyone who thinks maaco does a paint job for $300 is an idiot... because its not that cheap

well i let a buddy drive my car last nite and he wrecked it and tore the front bumper off and smashed my header and oil pan...had a header and oil pan laying around,bought a new bumper from a buddy for 30 bucks and its fixed again,thats why my pos has a 20 dollar paintjob so i dont care when that **** happens,i woulda flipped if someone did that to my stang or bagged ranger...its nice having a car u dont care about

well he said its his beater, i think it looks better than primer, if he put 30 more bucks, couple more layer, wet sand and buf, i bet it turn out better, mine turn out pretty darn good, for 47 bucks i spend

 

well i could care less about everyone ragging on my pos teg cuz i paid 1000 for it drove it for a year blew the tranny and clutch and still sold it for 850 so it served it purpose...heres pics of my other civic

 

wow there is alot of haters in paint and body as of late ...WTF ,i honestly HONESTLY think it looks alright ,not the greatest but what do you expect ? its rust paint RUST......PAINT ...... and satin at that ,like ok the bodywork isnt perfect ,but i'm sure its better then it was ,little bit of blocking and a few dings hammered and it would have been mint ,well sorta except the hood fitment is shitty

all in all i sy you did a great job and i love the color
