CF Hood warped
Hey guys,
I purchased a OEM Seibon CF hood not too long ago and tried fitting it today. The hood is a bit shorter (but I knew this would happen after I read some posts on cf hoods) and there are a few gaps...which is fine by me. The only problem I have is that I think the hood is warped in the middle and sits up about a 1/4 of an inch from the fender line. I've tried searching for the answers here and on team-integra but came up with nothing. Some people suggested to put weight on it and leave it outside in the sun...but does that really work? I just want it to sit more flush (or at least less of a noticeable gap). Any ideas? Oh and I can't return it because I got it from a guy who lives around here.

try loosening both sides of the hood and retightening, this works best if you have 2 people to do this so both sides can be held up when the hood is loose. the idea is to prevent the hood from shifting after one side has been tightened. my bro had a similar problem when i traded my cf hood for his oem one.
How does that fix the problem that its warped in the middle...isnt that more for aligning the front and back and not the actual middle? Ive matched up the fenders and front as best as I could...I'm talking about the middle of my hood being raised...I can see my engine if i look through the gap..

in the original post it sounded like you said that the hood sits higher than the fender, now you're saying it's raised in the middle. if the hood sits higher than the fender on a side, try what i wrote above. if it's raised in the middle and there's a gap between the hood and bumper, then it's normal. my cf hood had the same thing and from what i've seen, that's how the cf hoods are made for the integra. don't put any weights on your hood, that sounds like some stupid wives' tale.
