Car passed smog but running rich.
My car barely passed smog last week and the mechanic told me that my car is running rich. He suggested that I should change the O2 censor to fix the problem. Is this true? I used to get 280 - 300 miles per tank of gas, but now I am getting average of 240. What could have caused this?
Also, I did a valve adjustment last year from Acura and since then, I have driven the car for about 9k miles. As of now, it seems that my car is making a loud clicking noise from the engine. Do I need a valve adjustment again? If so, WTF Acura??
Car info: 1999 GS with 172K miles, never replaced the O2 censor before and last tuned up was two years ago.

My car is 95% stock. I guess I should just change the spark plugs with the plug wires and see what happen from there. Anyone else think I should change the O2 censor?
