header to cat fitment issue

header to cat fitment issue
i tried searching but didnt find anything.
i have a b18c swap in my 99 ex coupe.
i was told to get a type r header for it so i did. well the flanges on a type r are straight and the flange on the cat(high flow) is angled for a stock gsr header. is there any way to make it work besides cutting the flange off the cat and making it straight?
any insite is welcome. thanks in advance.
