I don't understand my car...
Hello everyone. This is actually my intro thread as well, so I hope that I don't rub anyone the wrong way by being all n00bish.
Anyway, my '91 Nissan NX 2k recently died. I think it's the CV joint that went (I'm not really much of a car guy, this is what other people have told me) but I know I need a new left control arm anyway which costs way more than I could sell the car for. So I decided just to get a new car.
Found a '91 Honda Civic for the right price, but it's been gone over for track racing. Still street legal though, so it'll probably spend its days with me hauling groceries. Anywho...
I need some translation done. I've got a list of the modifications but, not being a car guy, I really don't know what they mean. I can fix pretty much anything on a car with a haynes manual, but my intrinsic car knowledge is lacking. Especially when it comes to performance related mods. Here they are:

Crane cams stage 2 (242@206 exh) 1500 rpm @ 7500 rpm, AEM cam gear, AEM alternator pulley Head Man header CHIKARA 4, 2, 1, Thermo Rap, 2 1/4 exh, Apexi racing muffler, cold air intake custom made, Holly fuel regulator, Hiper tech fuel pump, 16 gal fuel cel, fuel gage, (N2O) Nitrous wet system High Flow valve and blow of adapter with blow down tube, ZEX spark plugs, MSD 6AL, Two Step RPM limiter, MSD cap and rotor, Mallory coil, Accel wire set, Auto meter 5" tach with shift light, sunpro cages Oil and Air fuel mixture, Kurky's aluminum racing seat, 4 points harness, aluminum racing pedals and shift ****, B&M short shifter, Centerforce stage 4 dual friction clutch and throwout bearing, Matrix coil over strut bar front and rear, summit relocation battery kit.
you get extra tires like Mickey Thompson sport man I tires on steel rims 235/50D13 tread wear 000 traction A Temperature C slightly used on track only, you get extra cylinder head and some other extra parts. ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS/COME LOOK AT CAR</TD></TR></TABLE>
So yeah. To give you an idea of how much I don't know, I just found out yesterday from and old hippie at work that a "Stage 4 clutch" simply means that the clutch is capable of handling more torque without burning up. I do know what a clutch is and the principles of operation, though, so I'm not completely lost.
There are also included parts for mods which were planned but not yet done, like integra pistons. Obviously I don't know what impact this would have on the car's performance or if the benefit for a nonracer would be worth the work. I've never replaced pistons before, though I can't imagine it being easy given their location. Some advice on this stuff would be great too.

This car probably wouldnt be the best grocery getter. If you are really interested you may want to go sit in the Kirkey aluminum seat for about 30 minutes and see if it is comfortable to you. If you do get it take it to the track and enjoy it.
Not sure what this has to do with drag racing or what answers you are looking for or even what your question is. You will probably get better answers if you move this to the car specfic section and have some solid questions not just what are these parts?
By the sound of it I would not buy that car for a daily driver.

Took your advice and brought it to the track before I buying it. Bought it straight away after that. You're right -- it's certainly not a good daily driver, but I already have one anyway.
I'm trying to study up on the modifications that were done, because damn that thing can move. Just figuring out exactly what affects what and how.
Ultimately, I don't know how long I'll keep it. Might be this summer only, since I don't want to store the damn thing.
