that's what I'm saying..Tips being that big and stretches out that long toward the end of of bumper makes it look awkward. I haven't yet seen them in person. That is why I am so undecided either or neither between the two.
The Tanabe muffler canister looks a little to big (or wide) from behind, what makes it worse is the larger tip?

I have the WS1 currently on my SH and love it. The WS2 has more of a slight angle on the tip, but I would still go for the WS2 over the tanabe. good luck

I'd choose the Tanabe out of your choices, but that was my second choice when I was choosing my catback exhaust. I went with the Thermal R&D.
Apexi and Tanabe tips are too huge for 5th gens..doesn't compliment the stock bumper, u gotta like have a lip kit to blend in muffler.
Well after research tonite, I'm considering getting a Mugen twin loop replicas, do an axle-back only since all prelude cat-backs has very little effect in performance(assuming your prelude is pretty much stock like mine).
I just want a sportier sound exhaust and OBX or Netami generally has good reviews all over the net. I want a nice sounding exhaust when I hit vtec. OEM muffler sound sucks ***! Tip is about a decent 3inch.
Like this one. Even without the rear skirts, it sure beats the Apexi and Tanabe. IMHO

RS-R* EX-MAG for the win! That's what I got.

But I only see the 92-96 Prelude model listed and not 97-01 so...you might want to call around see if you can find one.

Thats cool, everyone has there opinions but how is it stupid? The exhaust sounds better than any of the exhausts listed.

It's stupid for many reasons. Mostly because it reduces the amount of back pressure. This would be fine on a S/C'd or Turbo'd application, but on a stock N/A car like the Prelude, you're actually taking HP/TQ away from the stock numbers.
Dual exhausts belong on a V6/8, not on a 4cyl. Hell, most S2K owners convert to a single exhaust from the factory's dual "Y" setup for better gains.
Carry on though.

you have no clue. do some research on back pressure and learn something.

Welcome to 2008.
3" exhaust has been proven already to gain power even on "stock" h22 motors. Doesnt even need tuning. Add tuning and you got even more power.
fyi, he is boosted.
