clutch surface 2
I originally posted this in tech section but no answers
I am wondering if you can freshen up the surface of a used clutch plate maybe with some sand paper or some sort of abrasive. I do know "freshening" it will take some life off the clutch. It only has a few hundred miles on it from previous car. The clutch is a Competition Clutch stage 5 with upgraded pressure plate. Any info would be appreciated

i've taken some 220 grit sandpaper to a clutch before (for our GRM 2007$ car, and for my old daily driver).. i sanded the flywheel (orbital sander), clutch pressure plate surface, and the clutch disc (lightly)
seemed to work fine.. it probably would have been fine if i hadnt, but all three parts were used, and had never seen each other before.
budget budget budget.. good luck!
