ok i have 2 cable si transmissions that are in good condition that i want to use on my car. one is the 88 21 spline and the other is the 89 and up 20 spline. my plan is to run one of them stock on my turbo single cam, and build the other one up and put in a lsd

anyway now my question to HT. is one more desired then the other? can one handle more power then the other? does one have a better after market? basically is one better to put my time and money into? and if there is any more info that you guys may have it would be greatly appreciated

yes i did search and i looked in the FAQs and thats how i found out there was even a difference between the two. thank you for all your help

 

i would invest more in the 89 simply because it is more usable and more common. it will give you more options in the future
