Default Ground Control & OEM Upper Mounts?

So I'm just piecing together the GC/Koni kit...what's going on with this upper mount.

Is it supposed to look like this?

The gold seat that the GC spring sits on fits inside, but slides around. The GC instructions also call for reusing the factory bearing.

I ordered 10/11 and 9. If I put the factory bearing in, the gold GC seat won't fit properly and the bearing doesn't even fit inside the GC aluminum cap. Ideas?

Did a little digging, I guess the part numbers from different sites is a little off.

The ending part # pictured above is 51920-s5a-751. I guess that's the 2002 strut mount.

I looked up the part number on honda-parts-catalog and it gave me an ending # of 51920-s5a-024 for the upper mounts. I cross-referenced with majestic honda and it gave me a 2001 Civic upper mount.

Does that sound right to you suspension guys?

Hey try looking here I am fairly sure it is what you need. The way that one looks it seems like you need the plastic OEM bearings. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1821731

They sent me 2001 GCs. I got 2002 strut mounts.

Should I return the 02 mounts and pick up 01 strut mounts or get GC made for the 02.

get GCs made for O2s.... but if all you have is what is pictured, you're missing the other half of the steering bearing. You need the bottom race and the *****.

I do have a bearing that fits into that strut mount, I'll take a picture of it later to confirm I got the right one.

So I'm assuming there was a big design change from 01 to 02?

That's what it looks like with the bearing I have. It creates a flat surface and the GC cap slides around like its sliding on a table
