Okay so my project car is a Granada Black GSR and I'm respraying the entire car with championship white base coat/clear paint system. The car was painted over and its not the OEM paint so what primer would/should I use to cover the black and prevent my base from lifting because I think they painted this car with enamel because you can smell it when you sand past the clear.....

 

I would personally sand the whole refinish spray job off first...that way you know what you are dealing with...either way I would use a good primer sealer( K36 from PPG is a good one) I would tint it white obviously that way you will get better coverage from your paint system, and with less coats.
