Default caliper pin stuck

Hey guys' doing my back brakes and I was getting irritated because the caliper wasn't aligning correctly and I couldn't get the bolts in. I soon found out that the Caliper Pin (22 , 38 in diagram) is stuck. I can take the top one out easily but the bottom one is just stuck in there. I've tried hammering it and it still won't come out.

Whats my solution?

use muscle. Clamp a pair of vise grips on it and turn it out like a screw while lightly tapping it out

That pin in rusted pretty good if it won't move. Pull the little boot back and see if you can spray some PB Blaster or WD40 in there and try break is loose however you can.

I would strongly suggest removing that caliper and and cleaning/re-greasing both of those pins....hell even do the other side if you can. If the those pins are badly corroded and rusted your brake is going to take a lot of force to activate.

bolt the caliper bracket back onto the knuckle if you've taken it off, if not, leave it on, then use a wrench that fits the size of the flat spots on the pin, i think its a 17 or a 19.

and turn it to break it loose, then u can wiggle it out.

heat that bitch up to remove it and then I would personally just replace the pin and make sure you grease it up before reinstallation

Well the thing is that the wheel is still on the car so it makes it even challenging (broken wheel stud)

I;m going to get some PB and spray it and start hitting it hard with a hammer and chisel until it comes off (hopefully it does) and lube em up
