Honda ATF vs Dexcron III
So here's the situation. My auto tranny gave out a few thousand miles ago, so I sourced a used one and got some friends to help me with swapping the old one w/ a less older one. So it was fine for a dew months and now I got a p0740 code which is a TCC (torque converter circuit error) problem. I know the tranny and TQ convertor are good b/c shifts are smooth and problem free, but the CEL is causing my car to be in limp mode.
I haven't heard good things about the P0740 CEL but a possible fix would be a full flush. So if a flush will fix it then that's good, but if a flush doesn't, I don't want to spend another 70 bucks for the Honda ATF I have to buy, so the question is can I just use Dexcron III? I'm sure it won't do any harm. Comments and suggestions ?

why would u spend $70 on fluid. i only paid $6/qt and my old A/T tranny only used 4.5 bottles in my crx so it shouldnt cost more than 40 in just fluid. there is a place here in south sac that does a full flush with honda fluids for $55.
