Beginner lookin to fix up an EX
So as the topic states, I'm completely new to fixing up cars and such. I know a bit about cars, hondas especially, and get the jist of how they work and what you can do to make them better I just don't know where or exactly what parts to get to do that. I'm going to college this fall and am looking at buying a 2004 Civic EX. I would like to do some work on it to make it a better (faster, better handling, etc) car, and honestly I have no idea where to start. Can anyone give me some tips on some tune ups and parts or where to get them or guides on how to perform a tune up for someone on a pretty tight budget, or just work that can be done on it with minimal part replacement? I know it's kinda broad, but I figured I got to start somewhere and this forum is awesome.
