1997 Honda accord window moving up slowly
I have a honda 1997 and the driver side window move up very slowly. I put some vaseline and it works great. In about to weeks it goes back to moving up and down very slow. The motor was removed and lubed and the channel has been cleaned. I allso tryed Motor oil and white grease. any special grease i should use. I have all so removed the motor and tryed to lift up the glass with out the motor and its very hard to move, until I put some vaseline and then it works great until
to or for weeks latter . any thing I might be missing ? Any special grease? or maybe the rubber is going bad ( no cracks in the rubber an it shows no wear look new )

If its hard to move the window up and down with out the motor attached to the glass, then it will prob. need a new window run channle. That is the part that you keep lubbing up.
Assuming the PW motor is ok, you may also consider a defective PW regulator. I had identical symptoms on my '96, and replacing the regulator fixed the problem. Relatively easy to replace/install.
I have a 95 accord and both front windows were extremely slow, my driver side even stop working and stuck in winter. What i did was use silicon lubricant to clean up the rail. I take apart the door panel to reach inside the track and give it a real good cleaning. Now it works fine but eventually it will get dirty again so regular maintenance on the rails will be recommended. Hope my tips will help.
