I sure will. I had a hard enough time getting in my garage. Trying to turn it around to go out of my driveway was another....well, I had another thing comin.

I almost tipped it over....do you know how much a Gixxer 750 weighs?

Here's what it says on the "weight sticker"

GVWR 840lbs/380kg
GAWR FRONT 310lbs/140kg
GAWR REAR 530lbs/240kg

So you're telling me the bike weighs 840lbs?!?!?!? No way. My friend's ZX-6R is like 480something pounds.

840 lbs is the max weight for the tires i think.
GSXR 750 weighs in at around 360lbs, still kinda heavy if ya gotta roll it up a hill.
For comparison my 91 CBR 600 F2 weighs in at a hefty 450lbs... yikes!
Nice selection, i bought mine to learn on, so in the spring i can buy a GSXR 1000 or a Busa.
Like was said, be safe, alot of nuts on the roads these days.

Actually the gross weight both total and by axle is what the suspension components can hold while still functioning. The tires can hold a good amount of weight over the rating but the suspension's performance will suffer then fail. I'm not so sure about bikes though, they're not really designed to function as cargo/fat girl haulers...

I am absolutely positive your bike does not weigh more than 400lbs.

ZUKs are a little "boatish" at low speed. My XX is the worst. If the bike is top heavy, make sure you get your feet off the pegs at any speed lower than 3mph, or you will get into trouble.

Now I'm worried that I can't get it insured. A couple of people are telling me that as a new rider, companies will reject me for a 750. Is this true?

That sucks.

That's what I was planning to do. Just liability. Is there a chance that companies won't even put me on their liability only plan?

Or is it only a "maybe" if I want full coverage?

liability should be pretty easy. I guess their train of thought is "how much damage could you do to someone else in a bike?" I need to find a company w/ liability and theft...

You can always get motorcycle insurance from someone else. Their usually isn't that much of a difference between having a single motorcycle policy vs putting it on your current plan.

Thanks again guys. I'm real happy with it. It still has an overheating problem. But I'll fix it as soon as I get off my lazy ***.

Rides real well and has gobs of power. I haven't even gotten it close to 6K rpm yet. The thing goes all the way up to 14K!!

Very nice, I have my heart set on a CBR 600, but it'll have to wait until I finish college.
