Front sway bar bushings?
Has anyone replaced the front sway bar bushings?Mine look a little worn and i was wondering if just replacing the bushings would help the car handle better.
I know alot of people remove the bar totaly and most people beef up the rear bar on a front wheel drive car for better handling.I guess my real question is whats better.Improving the stock bushings on the oem bar or just removing it totally?
Thanks

Yessir, I would either replace the bushings with some poly or remove the front bar. Having those mushy, damaged bushings just makes the car more sluggish in the turns.

Do you want poly inserts up front ? Wouldnt that stiffen the front up more, like same idea as adding a stiffer(thicker) front sway bar but obviously to a much lesser extent ?

I doubt it will be noticable when compared to some new OEM bushings. All the bushings are supposed to do is let the swaybar rotate as freely as possible, I can't see how them being stiff would affect the ride quality at all.
You could probably use some metal bushings that do not flex at all and you wouldn't notice a difference just because of how the swaybar works.
