Default Need advice on IAC custom placement. No room for it at this stage. Pics inside.

With my STR intake manifold my IAC is up in the brake lines. The pictures I have here are when the motor was mounted with old HASPORT mounts. I moved my motor back about 1" to get better axle angle and made my own custom mounts which is why i'm having this problem now. So what should I do? Rerouting the brake lines seems to be the most difficult and time consuming solution. Can I mount the IAC remotely or drill holes maybe on the bottom of the manifold? What would the Fab genious' of H-T do?

Although I'm sure you can make something similar yourself. Tony's stuff is pretty though.

Going the t1 adapter route would be a lot easier than plugging the current spot and re drilling/tapping a new hole for the IAC on the top of the IM.....

im gonna throw my opinion out there for ya.

i have an AIR/carbon manifold and at the time there was no aicv adapter, i run 1600cc injectors and my iacv is just tucked back behind the intake manifold with NO water lines hooked to it. car idles great!

really what im getting at is if you have a good engine management, its not needed and can get away with great idle characteristics. what are you using?

I've fabricated one before.... similar to Tony's dapter flange for remote mounting on custom ITB set-up. Works great!

depending on your engine managment you can always use an iac like the one offered through electromotive
