Default 2001 Civic Brake Pedal Travel

I get about an inch of travel in the brake pedal before I get good hard brakes. Rear drum brakes are new and adjusted correctly. I have bled the system in an effort to remove any air. pedal does not seam squishy like if it had air in it. What would cause the extra pedal travel? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you want better response upgrade your brake lines and install performance pads.

Thanks for the reply! The play that I am experiencing in the pedal is excessive, maybe more than the inch that I stated earlier. If there was a bad/worn component, which one would it most likey be?

It could be your pads, but I would say replacing your wheel well brake lines with stainless steel ones would give you better pedal "feel".
