Like the title says....my car shuts off when i let out the clutch even in neutral.....

well i recently had my tranny rebuilt by well known transmission shop in my are.

my car drove fine for about one week and did not show any type of problems at all... yesterday i finally drove it a lil hard but nothing too serious...it drove perfectly fine after i ran it kinda hard,

this morning i woke up and i turned my car on and it turned out fine. as i was on my way to a soccer game i pulled up to my first stop light which is like not even a mile from home... i threw it in neutral and when i tried to put it in gear it wouldnt budge, i shut the car off and turned it back on and as i let out the clutch it dies on me as if i was in a gear not giving it gas.

Im thinking maybe the guy did not do a good job, any feedback is appreciated...

 

did your linkage fall off?

jacked up the car and everything is fine, i turned on the car while it is in the air and tried to let off the clutch to see if it still would turn off and it does indeed.

it feels as if im trying to take off in 3 gear, when im in NEUTRAL if i let off the clutch slowly as if i were in first gear and rev it past 2.5k rpm i can let go of the clutch leaving the car on, but it makes a noise were the tranny mount is located...im totaly lost

i checked my tranny fluid and it looks grayish..can it be that i need to replace it?

and i replaced it like a week ago with about 2.3 quarts

 

it sounds like the tranny is stuck in a gear. something internally screwed up
