Default little help...?

Anyways I want to do something to my ride like drop/lower it a bit so it can have a bit more aggressive look to it than the stock height

spring for the ground controls.. no pun intended

you'll love them, they handle great and are adjustable to any height you want, but are not hard on your butt. and you can usually find someone around that has either a used set for sale or a shop that has them on sale.

put them on your stock shocks and ride around untill you can afford the koni's

EDIT: clean car and your def headed in the right direction with it

if you're going to ride on your stock shock, you'll probally have about 2 months before they blow from what i hear. i've been riding on my gc/stocks for a little over a month. ride is pretty smooth and stiff. you'll love the new look from stock height.

you wont be able to slap the gc for stock suspension directly to koni's because of the design, some of your choices are tokicos and kybs. im personally waiting to pick up some tokico illuminas.

here's a ht sponsor that has a good deal, you'll get it in about 2-3 days going priority mail.

put up pictures when you slam it.

go with a set of h&r sport springs....best buy for the money imo...1.75 to 1.5 inch drop....I've been running them close to a year now on a stock suspension...doesnt give a harsh ride and hasnt blown my struts out either

worries me a bit there I'll wait a few more month till you tell me if it blows or not j/k but anyone else on this?? will post when I lower it NOT slam don't like sctraching my rides I try to baby them/picky

A little relief now to still go for some lowering springs any pictures on how low that actually is...no tire issues I take it with just that much? what you mean 1.75 "TO" 1.5 the "TO" part to know of how much of a drop it'll be if I opt for those/h&r and if I'll have tire issues if it's low enough to rub/touch my tires

Yeah was looking at the GC springs price wasn't bad not that I can't really afford the Koni's just with 3 rides don't like blowing/spending money just like that or know if I want to on a ride I might not do too much things with or just spend a lot of money all at once you know...If I know for sure I'll keep all my cars forever I'll buy konis for all of them at least from what i've heard koni's pretty good "best bang for the buck!" BUT if they're just the springs they're not adjustable though no? unless with aftermarket shocks that can adjest, YOU said they're adjestable just want to make sure/understand what's what....

and THANKS on that EDIT though it's not really much.....

well..h&r says...1.75 front....1.5 rear....but mine only dropped like 1.5 all around....and no I dont have any pics at the moment....but you'll still have a ton of ground clearance...and you wont have any tire/rub issues....as long as you get the toe zero'd out after you lower it then you're good

can i get something more like:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by spray_bombed &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well..h&r says...1.75 front....1.5 rear....but mine only dropped like 1.5 all around....and no I dont have any pics at the moment....but you'll still have a ton of ground clearance...and you wont have any tire/rub issues....as long as you get the toe zero'd out after you lower it then you're good </TD></TR></TABLE>

So I know how low/any problem I might run into etc. because I just want to get ONLY LOWERING SPRING cuzz I'm a NOOB at this but sorry for the CAPS but just so people know I only want lowering springs at the moment to lower the ride height and still have the "stock" ride feel to it or close to it... cuz I know some people don't even pay attention to their suspension which I know is PRETTY important in a ride and then mess up their tires/ etc and have such and such problems like some people cutting their stock springs which i know is not good so yeah....

I guess it would help too if you have pictures? on 15" rims and are lowered on which ever springs/set up? though I take it with set up height is more adjustable w/ after market shocks as to only JUST spring where it's "fixed" at a certain drop as they say for it to be correct? along with stock shocks? well looking to still getting some lowering springs so help me out guys so I can decided/pick which ones-with riding comfort being more important than being so low/slam or whatever..only want drop or two to bring out the rims/ get that nice stance Thanks...........

So far your thread titles are "little help...?" (92-00 Civic section), "lowering springs?" (Suspension section) and "weird crx issue (beeping)" (CRX / EF Civic section).

Notice that the one that got the most responses had the most descriptive thread title.

A title like "little help...?" or a title like "lowering springs?" in a suspension forum or section are not going to get a lot of attention. I would venture to say that any thread title hinting at needing help on choosing which lowering springs would look best would garner little attention in any suspension section.

Try being more descriptive with your thread titles. You want your title to lure in the people who can help you.

I'm on Tein S-Techs. It gives a smooth, "stock" ride, but lowers the car and thus makes it handle a bit better. But you still don't feel like you're dragging *** down the road and since you're not really low you don't run as much of a risk of damaging the underside of the car, lips, etc..

While I would like a better setup in the future, these do just fine for now and they fit my wants and needs perfectly for the price.

A lot of people say to replace shocks, but mine have been like this for two years and still have no issues.

If you see someone say, "Go with such and such," ask them why. Ask what the drop is and how they ride.

Eran has a great spring rate thread. I'm not sure if it's on this site, but it's definitely on ClubCivic.

Thanks....well right now I guess picking the spring with info./experience like yours and others is not the biggest issues but more so of "risking?" whatever problem i might have using the stock shocks? though I guess it all depends or differ for everyone on that eh? if stock shocks will blow or not.....

I guess right now it's between H&R, GC and Tein and the height they'll give me....tho I didn't look at the price of Tein.... I take it might just be a tad more than H&R or GC? will look around again for prices....are the Progress springs any good? anyone?

I'm not on clubcivic but interested to know more if you have additional info on that....

ask far as the "Go with such and such" thingy I guess some just like to post and then not bother to come back and explain why, few do or others will say why....i'm not on too much on HT but I guess that's just how some peeps are in here....

You really should post in the Suspension section.
