If you had a tore motor/trans mount(s), what would you do? Feel free to reply with justification and thank you for input...

I've been rocking the innovative mounts for a year now. I agree with the shake, on cold *** mornings it tends to make my CD player skip when I start it. You can always swap out the rear mount for an OEM one to reduce the vibration, and just use the innovative for the rest.

I voted for oem mounts.

I cannot stand when i get in a car espically if it's gonna be daily driven and the dash is rattling and everythings vibrating.

Hey i understand, my engine isn't going anywhere with some good OEM mounts. either

I guess it's all about personal preference.. I daily drive my car, but i will be boosting my b20b soon and i will still use stock mounts..

I've heard good things about ES Inserts.. not all of them cause vibration..

so would it be wrong to insert these into torn mounts?
since the insert takes the mounts responsibility..

the inserts are nowhere near 'taking responsibility' of mounts. they help, they are a bandaid but it is not solid.

well it says they won't bend under pressure and i just got them in the mail today...you're saying i should save $80 more first to replace new mounts and inserts??
i don't get the point of an insert then if pressure isn't going to be put on them and it'll be on the stock rubber mount? i'm confused

I just put the innovative mounts in my integra. Yeah vibration gets kinda annoying when its cold. Im starting to go through my dash and put in double-sided foam sticky pads to reduce the vibration noise

I am using my stock mounts which are a little tore up with the energy suspension inserts. My car rattles like hell when at Idle. When cruising, its like stock. I only did this because I was low on cash and wanted to drop my new engine in already. I plan on purchasing some Innovative motor mounts and swapping all mine with them.

If you are going to replace mounts, just buy the innovative or hasport. They might rattle a little inside at idle, but so will the motor mount inserts. I didn't think they would either until I actually put them in.

My friend just put hardrace motor mounts into his car. There is minimal vibration, but it is as solid as my es motor mount inserts.

The hardrace motor mounts are more expensive then inserts, but less than the ha-sport motor mounts.

Just another option to consider.

My opinion:

If this is a DD, get the OE mounts.

If this car see the track, Innovative/Hasport mounts.

When I first did my swap in '01 I got the WS exhaust and was loving how quite and buttery it sounded. I got the bright idea of getting the Hasport street urethane mounts - it totally ruined the driving experience for me. The vibrations were so loud it sounded kinda like I was riding in an airplane. I swapped the L+R mounts out and replaced them with the OE ones and it still annoys me a little, but not nearly as loud.

Damn bro, do you do a lot of crazy hard up and down shifting? Maybe you should get some urethane mounts. The Hasport/Innovative etc. units give a rock solid clutch engagement (as if you didn't know) and they sure as hell will let you know when you're not engaging the clutch correctly

ha no i dont downshift(put in neutral and use brake) and i drive normally...once a week i hit 5-6 rpms and daily never hit more than 4, and only hit 4 when needed...upper motor mount is fine too
so i did put in the energry suspension mounts and clutch engagement is much better-car does not "studder" at all...before the other day it did it all the time in first gear accelerating
