replacing part on 2001 honda accord ex
Need some help, i was changing my tires out on my 2001 accord and found that one of the front shocks are getting ready to give! Needing to know where online to find a kit for a complete shock and strut for front and rear, deciding to take care of all at once! Please help!!! and which brands should i look for to give me a comfortable ride and go handling! I have heard that the brand Monroe is horrible from reading online, but unsure what parts store to order from online! Needing to know this very soon so I can get it fixed, can't have my new tires cupping!
is the car lowered?
are those OEM?
I have had 2 hondas and have 1 acura and never had problems with struts
the 1994 still has the original struts at 170K miles (my friend has it)
the 1998 rode just as it did when it was new when I sold it at 100K
my CL type S is at 67K and struts are still tight as the day the car was bought
my friend has a 1989 acura wilth 230K on it and it is still on original struts

This is an OEM part! no after market, but the technician was stating that the shock was starting to leak oil? So i was thinking of getting an after market kit to put on the car! but if just replacing that one would be fine! but the place wanted to charge like 800.00 for all four, when I only needed one! So I walked of course after my tires were done!
do the pair that is leaking IE in your case change the 2 fronts. Milage on the car? should be about 400 to do the pair. do not do just one strut as it will affect the handling of the car.
I have never had a problem with monroe struts

104000 mi, did all the required matinance, just changed out timing and all, but should i stick with oem or get a pair of after market like KYB or Torsian (i think that is the name I saw?)
Not looking to lower, but just want something decent in ride comfort, looked at honda online and it seems that they are a bit expensive trying to get this done at the dealership, but what website would you recommend to order the parts?
