is it possible to put a flip flop trunk on a 95 accord with the factory hydraulic pumps.

yes, you can. all you have to do is buy some 3" hinged straps from a hardware store, or you can make brackets with pins and put them between the lid and posts.
there is a "how-to" on 7thgencivic.com.

but why?

I dont even see the point of flip flop trunks they just make it more difficult to access your stuff out of the trunk. I would definatly never do this...
