Speaking of that... these World Superbike guys are doing 1:26's at Laguna during this 8-9p "SuperPole" broadcast. Any west coasters know how that lap time compares to sportscar/openwheel lap times? Just curious.

just got speedchannel yesterday from my cable co. i'm going to like this, now i don't have to watch nascar just to see some racing, this is better than ****.

 

This is the first race I've been able to watch since the first one in Miami. Madhatter came over for a and racing festivities. Touring car race (49 cars on the starting grid) was impressive, and we especially liked the in car footage (it really showed what a great course Mid Ohio is) of our two local Atlanta boys, Fowler and Baxter. Surely must take nerves of steel to race like that -- lots of banging and slamming all over the place...

 

Does anyone have the WC race from LRP on tape? I missed it, and want to see Pierre's spin, recovery and win.

What kind of open wheeled cars? Toyota Atlantics ran 1:19 and Kart was running 1:09's. As you probably know Colin Edwards ran a 1:24:88. That was really great racing from Laguna this weekend.
