Default 06' OEM Factory Navigation System: Question

Hey Civic Guys,

I have a question regarding my sister's car. She has a 2006 Civic Si that came with the Navigation System from factory. She has just bought the new Mugen Si, which does not come with Navigation. I'm most certain that the Navigation out of her 06' Si can be removed and reinstalled into her Mugen Si. Our local Honda dealership is saying that it can't be done. My guess is that they are just saying this b/c they think she will buy a new one.

The help I need from you guys is, what do you guys think? I'm sure some of you guys have installed these units yourself. If you guys have diagrams or installation instructions or anything helpful, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to get some input, before I start tearing things apart myself.

Thanks
-Justin

Do a search, TypeX did a retrofit of the OEM Honda Nav in a non-navi car.

Since you already have the parts it makes it a smidge cheaper.

If I wanted your ignorant remark, I would have asked

Thanks, but don't hate

This thread was not made for personal comments about the Mugen Si, but only for a better understanding of the OEM Navigation Systems found in the New Si's.

I told you to search?

TypeX had a thread way back when with pictures about retrofitting it.
