Default 94 Accord sohc Vtec rough idle after warm-up

94 accord ex. auto...Can anyone help with this problem? I just change the headgasket. Everything I did was correct according to Haynes manual. Head is torque to spec. All vacuum line connected. When I start the car it'll start normally. But as soon the engine is warmed up. It would idle really low..about 500-600rpm..to almost stalling the engine. I notice the the bad exhaust note(almost like insufficient fuel). The funny thing is if I drive it(above 1k rpm), its ok. The only problem if I let it idle(stop signs or traffic lights). I've clean IAC, Throttle and fast idle thermo. I'm out of idea. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

Is the timing correct?
maybe spray carb cleaner along the intake where it joins to the head, see if the idle changes; that would indicate a leak.

Bleed your coolant system, make sure the level is correct and that there are no air bubbles in the system. Recheck your IACV. After your car has warmed up unplug the wire connector from the IAC while the car is running. If the idle changes that indicates that you need to adjust your idle speed. If it doesn't change than there is something wrong with your IACV. Could still be dirty or it could be an improper/dirty electrical connection.

The timing is correct...Recheck the idle valve..clean...but this time when I start the car it would warm up correctly(for about 5-8 min) then just stall...Any help..

so, then with this test, either way the IACV has a problem. well, what is the result if there is nothing wrong with the IACV? curious to know?

This happened to me in my 99 4cyl f23 with 200k... after warm up it dips down to 500, and sounds not so good, and nothing is turned on in that time... no AC, no radio, windows, nothing. Its completely random. But i think i might check the ignition system, maybe check the idle valve, maybe these suggestions could help you out?
