Is this a blown headgasket?
I'm trying to figure out my idle problem. Motor is a JDM GSR. Here are some symptoms.
Idle ~ 1k - 3k Rev, non stop. (When motor is cold or hot)
I can hear air very loud while being inside the car.
Oil around inner bolts (near spark plug wires) have oil all around them. Weird.
I've checked and cleaned out the IACV. Cleaned out TB with Carb Cleaner.
My thoughts that it might be are bad Intake Manifold Gasket, TB Gasket, or maybe head gasket. No to sure about the Head Gasket though.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds to me to be your IAC or your Coldstart sensor on the bottom of the throttle body you can see if it the cold start sensor by putting your finger over the lower hole inside your throttle body if the idle becomes normal then thats your problem . .

That would be the FITV (fast idle thermo valve), if the engine is equipped with one.
OP, I doubt it is a head gasket. Check for vacuum leaks. Place you hand over the throttle body to see if the engine dies. if not, you have a leak. As mentioned before, you can also block the ports inside of the throttle body mouth to isolate the IACV and FITV. Make sure that the throttle plate is closing fully, i.e. a tight cable or throttle set screw issue.

But like Dogginator said if its your RPMs it might be a vacuum leak.</TD></TR></TABLE>
a leakdown test would be more effective at FINDING the lost compression, a compression test will only aleart you to its presence.
i agree with a vacuum leak though, make sure all your vacuum lines are connected, and not leaking.
have you taken your valve cover off recently? if you did you may not have sealed it completley causeing oil around your spark plugs.

i had that problem with my prelude except without the oil change your intake manifold gasket adn cause of the oil your plug seals and valve cover gasket if that doesnt work then [freak]
beat way to find a vacuum/manifold leak is to take some air intake cleaner and spray it all over thing that get bolted together.. IE, TB, manifold to head,
if your motor bogs down there is a leak.
