Wrecked my Gs-r, anybody have theirs totaled
Hi, I have(had) a 99 Gsr, and it was in a wreck. I was wondering if any of you had your totaled and how much damage was done. I am not sure if they will total mine. If they deside to fix it I might try to get them to paint it yellow. Anybody ever had there car painted a different color after a wreck? Thanks

if the damage adds up to about 75% the worth of the car then they will total it out, if they decide not to total it out then you can use the money to fix it however you please, you don;t have to put stock parts back on, just work with the body shop, and may i suggest a jdm front end while your at it

I wouldnt suggest painting the car yellow IMO. It would look like your going for the type R look.
Maybe go for a dark color bu stay away from yellow. gets to much attraction from theives and cops.
Keep it real and get something unique and make sure it doesnt stand out. Just my suggestion.

Go over to appearance forums to see some Integras with nice custom paint jobs. Or go over to mobworks.com. They do some excellent paint jobs.
I would stay away from yellow. If you're going for the wanna-be-type-r look, I'd paint it championship white.
And a JDM conversion will cost a total of 5000 or so including parts, labor, paint. I'd personally repair everything first, then invest in engine/suspension.

no there doesnt have to be frame damage, think about it why would they pay 8k to replace on the body panels on a car thats only worth 4k, its based on the amount of damage and/or if there is any frame damage.
