wheels painted -glossy white enamel but orange peeled -can i fix this?
i had very FUGLY- powder coated motegis... this is BEFORE

i was taking my time at first, all the prep was done, but then i was getting impatient...
and i only had 1 good (weather) night to try a quick top coat or 2-
i tried the spray can- enamel glossy white... 2 coats...
looks much better than before... this is NOW...

i have a glossy/acrylic enamel i want to coat it with to give it some protection,
BUT, what to do about this orange peel? can i sand the glossy enamel first, then acrylic?

any help would be great! Thanks

i painted my rsx wheels with a gloss rustoleum white, didnt sand- but just added clear enamel and they look great-
The white color wont show any orange peel that easily compared to black would-
just spray 3-4 coats of clear- it will make them easy to clean

I also did the same thing but the first 3-4 coats I just wanted to get the coverage, on the last coat I layed down a full wet coat to get the shine/finish that I wanted. Looks really good and almost no orange peel.
Thanks guys!
i'll post some pics later this week- when the project is complete!
i sprayed another heavy coat on... but had a few runs...
i took 600 grit and wet sanded them very lightly, touched them up with1 last med. heavy coat of white.
they look a lot better now!
now im waiting for it to dry completely-cure overnight again...
then clear-coat tomorrow, if it gets above 60 again!
i hope they stay nice for a while... what a pain in the ****!
if i had to do it again, i'd just take them to get powder coated- to save time and money!
thanks for the help
