Default which cams... 403's or 404's

i have a b18 with all possible bolt ons.. i have a stock bottom end (for now) and just wanna get your opinion on what cams to get the crower 403's or 404's.. i know the 404's need more compression to be very efficient but i've seen people with great power on stock bottom end on the 404's... what would you do? would you get 403's then wish you would of gotten 404's????

I would go with the 403's if you dont want to touch the bottom end.The 404's will work better with a higher comp ratio.

even 403's are pretty big for a stock b18a. you're not really going to get the full potential of those cams without bumping that compression up a good bit.

403s are a great set of cams and make good power on stock bottom end and defintely if you are leaving stock bottom end I would definitely do 403s, plus I seen 403s go to 180-190 with built bottom ends which are pretty good

I've seen 404's make 190, but never 403's. Got a chart or a link?

Mill your head and run a thin head gasket and rock 404 cams

If you don't want to rebuild the block then DONT get 404's.

That simple.
