Well usually a savage title car is worth less than half the value of the same clean title car. It also depends on what was damamged, what was repaired/replaced, quality of the work etc...

Look at it this way, you have two identical cars to choose from. One car has a salvage title while the other car has a clean title. Which would you choose?

To roughly answers your question, what was damaged to your car?

In some cases, yes and no. If an s2000 that has been salvaged out due to theft recovery; In example, my car, it can still hold up to its value, however, not as much as a clean title give or take a few. My top was cut, seats, cluster, speedometer, etc was stolen, and they salvaged it out. Although, my car still has never been in an accident, the body is in top notch shape. I can still sell it @ a fair price.

However, a car that has been in a total loss accident will sell for much much less of course, to one that has have a theft recovery.

most time salvaged car go for 30% less than clean title cars, depends on the condition and repair work if it was in accident.
Most salvage s2000s I'v seen(including myselfs) are due to stolen, which is fine for me. If you are planning on selling this car again sometime soon, you probably want to get a clean title one, because most people does care about the title. If you want to get a car and build it for track or race, salvage title is always the best choise.

yeah but in ny you need to go through salvage vehicle inspection, and they check VIN's on every part..... And you need to replace airbags with NEW oem parts..... So be careful other states may be the same

damn in WI you have 7 pages of crap to basically make the vehicle 100% as if new...airbags deployed you need new ones, etc

they don't check vins on everything but the motor, but if you replace a panel or whatnot w/ a junkyard part they want you to take a pic of the vin of the vehicle it came from

pretty easy though...
