Starting problem *95 Acura Integra LS*
So my brother drives his car home for 5 minutes, and when he decides to leave, his car wont start. There were no prior problems to the car before this happened.
This is what I can tell you from trying to find out the problem:
- It's not the battery, we tried to jump it and it wouldn't turn over.
- Checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood.
- Radio/fan/horn still work.
- Automatic Windows/sunroof DO NOT work.
- Ignition does not recognize the key in the II position. (no indicators such as CEL, battery, temp, door ajar) basically the whole cluster doesn't work.
- Cranks strong when you try to start it, but wont turn over.
The car does have an alarm. Any help would be appreciated as the car has been down for 2 weeks already and it's his only transportation.
TIA!!

it's most likely the PGM-FI Main Relay.. which controls if the fuel pump kicks on/off.
Hondas are notorious for the main relays to go out in the summer.. The joints in the relay get dry and crack.. They can be fixed, by removing the relay and pulling the cover and and re soldiering the dry joints.
Scroll down to about the middle of the page and there is a write up on it..

Also for a temp fix, try tapping on the relay and cycling the ignition off and on untill you can get the fuel pump to kick on..

So the main relay is good, but you still can't hear the fuel pump priming?

Yeah, I even took the relay to a shop(redzone) and they said that it's not the problem.

I know u said you checked fuses, but Check to see if the ignition fuse is blown.. and also check the ACG fuse.. if that fuse is blown the fuel pump will not kick.
Also test the connector on the fuel pump and see if your getting voltage..
Also are you getting spark?
Also how old is the fuel filter?

take the battery to get tested just to be on the safe side. every once and awhile the battery can be so jacked that it wont even let you jump it. i used to work at sams club in the tire dept and we would have customers with this problem every now and then. dont know if this will help but i figured what the hell.
