Default converting 94 civic front end to 97???

I want to start out by saying i have searched. I have been looking around here for about an hour and nothing. It seems more people are converting to integra front ends.

I have a 94 civic and came across a 97 front end really cheap so....what all is required. I dont need for you guys to walk me through it i just need to know if it is easy enough to try to do or just wait until i find a new 92-95 front end.

We dont have the bumper beam anymore so if you have to chop on it...i wont have to do that. Any radiator support modification? Any fender modification?

I just need to know the major stuff.

Thanks in advance.

i had bought my 93 hatchy with the 97 front end conversion and it wasnt done right but. some liked and some didnt i would rather go the 99 00 front end. but macked and went to the eg again cuz i wasnt beat for th welding and cutting but i can tell you what was done to my car they got 97 rad support welded it on and then they cut the bottom bracket where the light screws on from the side and all the way up the side so now with the eg front end my light shakes when i drive. but yeah also you need fenders fom eg and ek cut and welded you need the back half of the eg fender for your door and the front part for your ek front so mine was cut in the middle of the wheel well ... which is the worst place to cut so thats what was wrong with mine but for you i would cut in the front of the wheel well on an angle jus to pretty much get the head light part of the ek fender on your eg fender and weld then all the other accessories like hood grille bumper and lights and thats about it the only thing thats gonna be work is the cutting and welding of the fenders and the rad support coming off and going on... i woudl do 99 00 front jus for the sleeker headlights and i like 99 00 fog lights beter then the square ones for 96-98 but everyones different ... jus to let you know PLEASE DO NOT CUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WHEEL WELL!!!!!!!! will never come out unless your a master at bondo and fabricating.

It's going to be basically the same as putting any other front end on that car that doesn't belong on there.

It will not bolt on. The lengths and widths might be different. You will need to cut off and remove your stock radiator support and weld on a new one (the '97 one). Then you'll have to cut your stock fenders in half and do the same to the '97 fenders. Then you have to weld those together after measuring to make sure they're going to fit in the space on the car. Then you'll probably have to drill mounting holes. Not to mention wiring could be different (I know the headlight bulb type is the same). I don't know if the wiring will stretch far enough though.

Then in the end the headlights will look very large compared to the rest of the car. If you need to replace parts it will be much more difficult and expensive to replace the parts.

Just wait for a '92-'95 front end. Try here: car-part.com

I've seen the eg's with the integra front. I'm curious to see an eg with an ek front.

Front end conversions like these are so tacky. Honestly, your car was made the way it is for a reason. 96-00 headlights look horrible with the 92-95 body.

Here are some photos. I've included a few more of other conversions too.

And a few photos of other front end conversions on fifth gen Civics.
