To be honest bud, ebay parts are usually sub-standard or found to be defective by one means or another. Anything you buy off ebay has some risk factor involved. Nobody here can give you a 100% for certain advice for this matter. You usually get what you pay for though so If something does seem like a "too good to be true" deal than chances are it is. Have you went through all the individual parts that you actaully need? You should probably start there.

If you not mechanically inclined (can't pull the head apart and than the block) you won't really know exactly what you need and you could be buying parts that might be reusable in your block, thus you wasting money.

What has went down the tubes so to speak with your sh motor?

My personal opinion is that this kit might have all that you need, but might have a few things you don't need and you might end up with sub-standard parts so overall the kit might not be a good idea. H-T will usually be upfront with any issues with the used parts they sell, as they like the rest of us have probably been through what your going through and don't want anybody else to suffer the same as they have. I've found H-T to be very reliable with the information and parts that are dealt through them.

You could search the Honda tech for sale forum and even pick up a whole used block for probably what your going to pay for the whole your rebuild kit, BUT you'd get a shiet load of extra parts ontop of what you actually need.

In the end though It will be safer if you find out exactly what you need replaced and than go from there. Please give us as much detail as you can though so we can better help you (your car's symptoms, miles, what has been replaced, what you know for a fact you need, etc etc.)

good luck man!

Just looking at that, I see alot of stuff you don't need, and it doesnt have things you do need. The "timing belt kit" has no timing belt or balancer belt for instance. I would say just find out what you actually do need, and get oem parts from Honda for internals.

Bought some stuff from this seller for my rebuild. The port on the oil pump wasn't right. The casting covered more than half the port (hard to explain, but some of you guys know what i'm talkin about). I had to take the dremal to it in order for it to replicate the stock peice. I used those pistons and gaskets and everything went smoothly. The motor is currently fully assembled in my garage and will be dropped in when i get back from vacation.
You get what you pay for and experienced mechancal know-how is a very good thing to have when doing something like this. I'd strongly advise getting a second set of piston rings because they will break if your not careful.
Trips to the dealership for this gets EXPENSIVE!!!! The rod and main bearings you don't really want to fool with. You want to get the crankshaft turned down and bearings proffessionally sized.

That's who did mine and a friend's.
