MY REX JURKS WEN I SHIFT
I HAVE A 91 CRX AND WEN I SHIFT FROM FIRST TO SECOND THE CAR JURKS KIND OF LIKE MOVING FOWERD LIKE IF I WAS AT A HIGH RPM AND WAS PUNCHING IT AND LETING IT GO I KIND OF CANT EXPLANE IT ANY IDEAS
i have this same problem open up your hood look behind the motor where your transmission connects to the crossmember and see if the mount is still connected to the crossmember. Mine riped off the crossmember i hear its not that rare

1) Turn off caps lock
2) Check for torn mounts, or even disconnected mounts like DCFerris said. If you're still rocking the stock motor, you've got 4 mounts to check. One at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock if you're looking at the engine and pretending there is a clock on it.
3) Report back with findings.

Man, my advice would have been learn how to shift. My car does it if i pop the clutch shifting from first to second (or neutral to first). The other gears are way more forgiving but 1st to 2nd is not.
I learned to drive stick on a crx and it did it all the time. After i learned how to use the clutch, it doesnt happen anymore.

If your clutch is completely worn it might acting more like an on off switch rather than something that has any variability. If it jerks once its probably mounts, if it jerks back and forth really fast (which from your desciption i think is whats happening) its the clutch not making good contact.
It doesnt matter how long youve been driving or how many CRX's youve driven, my roommate has only ever driven stick and even he had my car bucking like a horse on speed trying to go from first to second until he learned how to "finesse" my blown clutch.
I got it replaced and now you almost cant do it even if you try. If you pop the clutch at low revs without touching the gas you can still get it to give a couple little jerks though.

lol i put new mounts on my ef and thay tore the front after a week i was like WTF lol mine moves a lot i got a 99 y8 in mine with full hydro conversion it moves like crazy but pulls nice only hits cross member in reverse
i need the motor mounts but i dont think that's what causing the stuttering on my car. usually when im stopped and start going it cuts off for a sec and it goes back into speed.
