My fuel lines: pics
I took some pics of what I did with the stock fuel filter, AEM fuel Rail, and Aeromotive regulator. It kinda dirty so just ignore the dirt. Im also going to be installing my catch can soon. I've been so lazy lately that it seems I'll never get the catch can done.
hey art, do you have the part #'s for those fuel line fittings and lines? i need to order mine this week and i wanna make sure i have all the right sizes, thanks.
- 10ft of -6 stainless steel line. EAR-310006
- (1) -6 180 degree tube swivel fitting EAR-818006
- (1) -6 to 12mm x 1.25 EAR-991945
- (4) -6 union EAR-981506 EAR-981506
- (2) -6 45 degree tube swivel EAR-804606
- (1) -6 90 degree tube swivel EAR-809106
- (1) -6 straight, Swivel-Seal hose end EAR-800106
- (1) -6 Econ-o fit blue EAR-900206
I used the econo fit to clamp onto the stock metal fuel line. I will upgrade and do metal lines all the way back to the tank later.

Art, did you have any problems with the Aeromotive regulator the first time you started the car? I'm using an SX FPR which is the same as the Aeromotive and it doesn't seem to want to flow fuel to the return line. It's holding 75psi in the rail and i've ran the car for several minutes, yet the return line is bone dry. I was wondering if there was anything i missed in the install or if i may have a faulty regulator. The only thing different i did was i installed the FPR directly on my AEM rail using a -6 to -10AN adapter on the left hand side "IN" port on the FPR. I have the right side "IN" port blocked off and a -6 to -4AN adapter for the return line.

Looks good Art. I know you wanna be like me
Hehe.
Actually, there is a problem if you use a factory fuel pump. It wont provide enough pressure to run fuel through the larger lines. I found this out the hard way trying to push 550's w/ a stock pump on a complete custom fuel system. The stocker just cant flow enough fuel through the larger diameter lines.

Hehe.
maybe u'v done this and im just being dumb... but did u lower the fuel pressure? it may be set so high that the pump is just makeing that fuel pressure so nothing needs to be returned

I really appreciate all of the part numbers, i have the AEM fuel rail and also the paxton FPR, all of these fittings should work also on my stock fuel filter too right?whats the part for the stock fuel filter? i imagine the gsr and the h23a should be the same size hoses and fittings... Thanks again

Thats the fitting for the fuel filter. Should be the very same one that goes back at the tank connection. You will also need the 180 degree or one that will bend for your needs.
Keep in mind. This is great to do under the hood, and for the most part needed to run an external FPR. But....you still have one restrictive banjo connection back at the tank. If your gonna go stainless, I would say do the feed from the tank and then just use an external filter (I use the aeromotive log one) and use the stock steele return line going back to the tank.
