Default 91 civic hb Si w sohc vtec for 87 iroc camaro

yup...got offered this trade. camaro has a 350 in it, needs a little body work (not as much as my civic actually), 60,000 miles...8,000 in the new motor put in...its a 5 speed, got a new rear end...blah blah... and could totally kick my *** in a race....so i think this is my goodbye to the "honda-techers" and thanks for all your help and support.

Having owned 3 3rd gen fbodies and 4 hondas Id stick with the honda. Those camaros like to spit tranny parts all over the place if you are making any kind of power.

Anyhow check out http://www.thirdgen.org if they are still around. Its been years since I owned one.

My buddy just put a 350 in his 60 something (67 maybe) chevy truck and he thought just because it could roast tires like no other that he could take my stock CRX SI....... He wasted a lot of gas just to be beat by a 1.6 .

Oh man, I just googled some info on that Camaro (L98). They ran a mid 15 in the quarter, my stock SI with falkens rt-615 tires ran a high 15 in the quarter lol. You would just barely beat a stock SI. So you should really rethink the hole "could kick my *** in a race" statement. But it's your car man, and wallet (can't race if you can't afford gas).

i know...its just really tempting...adn the l98 isnt in the car anymore he put a crate 350 in it...and i know its gonna cost more to hook up and **** but its already got a racing carb, headers, exhaust, etc....im pretty sure this car can run at least in the 14's.....plus room for potential (nitrous, supercharger)......but id be getting not even half the gas mileage i am now (32mpg)...ughhhhhh

with gas prices doing what they are, i'm really glad i traded in my 350z... i was getting 19mpg around town. my crx is getting close to 30 , and i don't have to run premium fuel. rwd+power= fun, but $$

lol, I love all the pointless hate on v8s because honda owners don't know them and or are scared of them

Personally, I wouldn't do the trade for a daily. I have a drag car that's a 3rd gen f-body and my daily is a 4th gen f-body. Love the SBC motors if you need any help planning that car out let me know.

Personally for a daily i'd much rather a 4th gen.

i used to have an 86 trans am, 5 speed, great options, awesome car. i miss it from time to time, but if i had to choose between it and my crx, crx wins hands down. but don't listen to any of us, do what makes you happy
