Ignition System
Looking at the 88-91 CRX workshop manual it shows that there are seven wires running from the ignition switch. I'm in the process of wiring it up to work off two independent switches. I'll have the white/black(bat-b) lead relayed through and connected to the blue/white(IG2-b), a relay for the white(bat-a) to the black/yellow(ig1), and another relay for white(bat-a) to yellow(IG2-A). It may be a waste to put a relay on each, but I'm not sure on the amps each pulls.
The question is, when I flip the starter switch, should I have the other relays disconnect. In position 3 only Bat-A is connected to the started and the IG1, none of the others are connected. Is it because the current would be too hard on the battery if all were connected, or can I just have a single relay pick up the starter for a moment. I'm just trying to make sure I don't some how fry the ecu or something random happen. And it'll be easier this way having each main lead one carry one function and no to have sub relays that cut things on and off for when the cars starting.
