itr is the best, but very costly... b16 is great for the track orsaturday night street races, but not so well on top end (you will top out your tranny at 130-140... the gsr is a good over all tranny. it has great top end, and decent track gear ratio, and its a really STRONG tranny. the LS is mainly for gas mileage... fifth gear bogs when racing, and ithe gears are just long PERIOD. ive had an LS, GSR, and now a B16. the gsr was my favorite for a daily driver, but im loving the heck out of the b16 in my project car

I think one of my last brain cells gave out.

What are you doing with the car?
How much can you spend?
How much power are you making?

You know what I give up.

Just install a FD in your US tranny.

the JDM tranny isnt what you think, yeah its nice from 1st to 3rd.. 4th gear is too big of a gap.

I love how some people post on people post just to be a dick . Not everyone has the same knowledge as others so if you aint got nothing positive to post go stick your dick in somone elses post.

Bump as stated you got to see what your motor makes for power but for now just get a B16 tranny slap it in dyno the car then you can work on building a tranny that is geared near your power band.

US ITR gearing is the same as B16 gearing. Only difference is ITR has LSD.

High (low numerically) final drive with close gears and a long first is the best IMO.

I don't get why people are worried about top speed and what not. I've been through a lot of tranny setups and my current is the best yet. Y8 trans with MFactory close gear set. 1.259 4th.

Why are you guys concerned about top speed? Seriously if thats you concern you shouldn't of bought a honda. You guys take your tin cans up to 130-140mph on the regular?

Someone please tell me why the gsr tranny is STRONG.
