ok my friend was doing his auto to manual swap and now his gauge cluster won't light up, it shorted when he connected the wrong wire so that the cluster would always be on park. but the cluster works on another car. he checked the fuses under the dash and all seem to be fine. what else can i check?
You guys made a bad connection at the plugs under the automatic shifter.
I am sure there is nothing wrong with the cluster or cluster wiring.
You guys connected something wrong when you by-passed the shifter lock.
Hard to tell you what...

after the short we actually found the right connection for the "P" park to stay on and now it don't want to work.
