Blowing fuses for lights when I hit bumps...
Okay, every time I drive my car at night with my lights on and I hit a bump, or a pot hole I blow the fuse under my dash that controls the turn signals, rear driving lights, and brake lights... I think it might be a bad ground or a possible short, but I don't know where to find the ground for the rear lights and the blinkers at... And I don't really know how to check for a short if there is one... My head lights always work... the car is a stock 89 CRX HF... What do you guys think? Any help is greatly appreciated.
probably not a ground issue in the sense your thinking... it is probably a short to ground which means that your wires are grounding out before they can get to your load devices. ie brake lights and the such this means your going to have to get a wiring diagram and STUDY IT to trace the circuit which is frying your fuses then follow the circuit on the car until u reach a place that isnt showing available voltage or has very high resistance it can get very complicated very quickly im in the honda pact program at the moment and we are learning about this very same thing....
PS not to insult your intelligence but if your not good with wiring or reading wiring diagrams then you should take it to a professional to look at it.
