'96 civic hx to d16z6. What ECU?
My daily driver spun a bearing so I found a junkyard motor to replace it.
The original was a d16y5 vtec-e 5-spd motor with a p2n ecu. I used the original wiring harness from the car. The d16z6 was out of an auto. I have the p28 auto ecu.
What ecu should I run? Will the p2n work? Would the p28 auto work with a conversion harness? What about a p2p out of a 96+ civic. The 'new' motor is in the car waiting on fluids, and a distributor plug harness from rywire.

I received my distributor plug adaptor from rywire this evening, and decided to see how the car would act on the original p2n ecu.
It fired right up! A quick test drive felt solid. No noticible misfires, etc..
So, here's my question:
Would I have long-term issues just sticking with the p2n ecu? I don't care if I have a cel. I ran with a secondary 02 cel for close to 2 years. Remeber this is my daily driver/beater! It just needs to get me back and forth to work.
