SiR Idle Air ConTrol Motor??
hey guys i was wondering where i can buy a new idle air control motor for my b16a sir motor.. the motor uses the obd-0 computer system and i know this motor was not sold in America with this computer system so i was wondering how i can get a replacement idle air control motor?, that uses the same electrical connectors as the one i have on there now... the reason i believe i need a new idle motor is beacsue of a loopy idle when the engine is either warming up(from complete being cold IE>> over night or a day or two) or slightly warm after it has been sitting for an hour or soo (IE. drive it park at a store come out hour later and she idle up and down).. how can i fix this an where can i get the correct parts?
The JDM B16A1 ( first gen B16) uses the exact same EACV as the Crx Si 88-91.
Same plug, same everything.
If you have a B16A2 , then you can use any from a 92-95 civic.

ok thanks for the help again guys, my thermostat is an oem honda thermostat that was replaced about 2 months ago so i do not think that i should need to replace it again..
Another issue i have is my CEL comes on and throws code 7 for TPS(only after driving for a while or coasting down hill in gear).. a friend of mine told me when doing the swap you need to reverse the tps wires.. i can not remember if i did that or not beacsue the swap was done 2 yrs ago(i followed directions that were given to me with the custom engine harness i purchased), and im not sure which ecu plugs or which wires control the TPS.. how can i check this to be sure my TPS is wired correctly?

If the TPS is throwing a CEL, it could be because:
1. It has gone bad. The TPS is a potentiometer and it can work well on a certain range but not in another. Meaning, it can work well for half a turn but be dead for the other half. You can check that with a tester set to Ohms and read the resistance between the center wire and any of the two outer wires. There should be resistance all accross the working range.
2. The TPS could be out of adjustment. It could be set either too low or to high.
3. The TPS wires are crossed. If that's the case, just swap the two outer wires at the TPS plug.
I work with throtle bodies and TPS's everyday.

ok thank you for your help.. my time today is being occupied in school ..
but hopefully later on ton. or tomarrow i will be able to do some experimenting..
1. how much resistance should the tps read?
2. also if my tps resistance check, checks out to be in working condition how can adjust the TPS
3. which check do i start with?
thank you for your help.. it is greatly appreiciated!!
