Default ctr pistons w/jun 3 cams too much for daily driver?

im about to rebuild my jdm itr motor, having oil problems. Since i may have my bloack all apart changing bearings im thinking of yanking the itr pistons and going ctr. The car is daily driven, will this setup with jun 3's be too much for a daily driver. I do long trips also like 400 miles about every month or so. Will be only using pump 91 octane also. or should i just stick with the jdm itr pistons and live with them. thanks!

i think a lot ppl running CTR with JUN3 and use them as daily drive... it's all depends on how you drive you car, i used to shift at 6000 rpm for my normal driving... but now i know it's not good.
I don't have JDM itr pistons in my car, so i don't have idea is it good to running the set up like that or not, but CTR with JUN3 should be fine.

If you can only get 91 octane, I'd stick with the JDM ITR pistons just to be safe (11.1:1 CR), the CTR pistons in a B18C5 will give you almost 12:1 compression, so you will need good tuning to run on 91 octane. It can be done though

I am using CTR pistons and JUN 3's in my daily driver with no problems so far, but I get 94 Octane here in Igloo land
