Default coilovers vs springs

i was debating on getting h&r springs with adjustable shocks, or ground control coilovers with regular shocks, heard that coilovers arent that good for your suspension and you barely adjust coilovers, just wanted a opinion of somepeople that have done one or the other, thanks for the help

I don't know what you mean when you say coilovers aren't good for the suspension, but I will say that what you want in the end should ultimately dictate whether to buy springs vs. coilovers. If you are looking to race track events or go show, I'd recommend going with the coilover setup: just choose a setting that is comfortable for daily driving and you can change the height for track and show use. If you are looking to simply lower the car for street use, I'd recommend getting the springs.

Edit: If you go coilovers though, I would recommend upgrading the shocks as well instead of sticking with stock.

I have ground controll coilovers on my 95 teg with tockiko shocks. My brother also has a 95 teg with 5zigen springs and same shocks. he wishes that he had the coilovers simply for practicallity. With coils you can lower, raise your conditions, ie wheel size, racing, autocrossing, but with the springs you are stuck in one position. And my coilovers do not bounce, it is a really smooth ride, smoother than springs on my bros. Springs are great cosmetically in my view, if i was you ask someone or one of your freinds to take you for a spin to compare the difference then see what you like. Bare in mind that coilovers are more expensive than the springs, but don't cut corners, stay with quality. ground contrll is a great choice, APC is not. Hope that helps.

I heard if you want "custom" spring rates from GC they can tailor it for you. But that's just what I heard. I have GC's and KYB AGX's 4way adjustables...and I love them. I always adjust my ride height...long trips, or if I just want a change.

Thats true, u can ask GC to custom tailor your spring rate. The trick is to know what rate u would need and the best for ur specific type of racing. Give them a call and they could probably tell u whats the best rate and they dont usually charge extra for doing that for u either. HTH
