Default 86 CRX fan runs excessivly

There's supposed to be a timer, coolant temp and air temp sensors associated with the fan control relay. The fan runs for about 20 minutes after shutoff- even when the engine is'nt hot. Is this abnormal? The coolant sensor is obvious; where are the timer and air temp sensors. This thing is carburated and has more plumbing than a french whorehouse. Any tips for common failures on this model? Thanks, in advance, for any & all advice.

before you go replacing all of that, check the radiator and make sure the fluid is full and then make sure it is not blocked. also check the fan relay which is in the bottom of the radiator.
